What We Believe

Confessional Statement

We stand in the rich heritage of those who have faithfully borne witness to Christ throughout the centuries. Embracing this great tradition, we affirm the Apostles’ Creed — a historic declaration that sought to faithfully summarize the gospel according to Scripture. In the same spirit, we now seek to proclaim this unchanging gospel to a world that is constantly changing. With that aim, we commit ourselves to unity around the following confession as adopted from The Gospel Coalition.

Our Core Values

  • Truth

    Ruled by God’s Word

We will stand as gospel light in our community, guided by the unchanging principles of Scripture. Every decision, teaching, and act of service will be rooted in the Bible, ensuring that we remain tethered to Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105; John 17:17)

  • Community

    United to God’s People

We will be a family of believers united in the love of Christ, where relationships are nurtured, burdens are shared, sin confessed, and spiritual growth is the product. (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:24-25; Romans 12:10)

  • Evangelism

    Zealous About God’s Message

We will live out the Great Commission by sharing the gospel and the hope of salvation found only in Jesus Christ. The proclamation of this good news will be fueled by grace and at the center of our prayers and conversations with everyone. (Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 10:14; 2 Corinthians 5:20)

  • Mercy

    Attentive to God’s World

We will reflect the heart of God by embodying compassion, service, and grace in every aspect of ministry, actively showing the love of Christ and the genuineness of our faith to a watching world. (James 2:15-17; Proverbs 14:31; Matthew 25:35-36)

  • Rest

    Reliant on God’s Provision

We will embrace the biblical call to find rest and renewal in God’s presence with us and promises to us. Ministry is not merely accomplished through the work of our hands, but in our utter dependence on Christ and His finished work. (Matthew 11:28-30; Psalm 23:1-3; Isaiah 40:31)

  • Generosity

    Open-handed with God’s Gifts

We will reflect the abundant grace of God by joyfully and sacrificially giving of all that He has given to us through our time, talents and treasures. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7; Proverbs 3:9-10; Acts 20:35)

  • Prayer

    Dependent on God’s Power

We will actively listen, intercede, confess, adore, and seek God’s guidance, strength, and presence in every aspect of life through corporate and personal time spent listening and talking to Him. (Philippians 4:6; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17; James 5:16)

  • Hospitality

    Reflective of God’s Love

We will reflect the warmth and welcoming grace of Christ to everyone the Lord brings our way, willingly posturing our hearts and homes to be used by God for His Kingdom purposes. (Romans 12:13; Hebrews 13:2; 1 Peter 4:9-10)
